Asmer and Villa given BMW Sauber test
|
During this week's Formula One test in Jerez, BMW Sauber will give young drivers Marko Asmer and Javier Villa the chance to sample the teams 2007 car, the F1.07.
The pair will work alongside Nick Heidfeld at the Spanish circuit on Tuesday. Twenty-year-old Spaniard Villa, who competed in GP2 in 2007, will make his Formula One test debut in the morning, before handing over to Estonian Asmer, the reigning British Formula Three champion, in the afternoon.
Asmer, 23, who has previously tested with Williams, will then get a full day in the car on Friday, partnering Robert Kubica.
BMW Sauber have yet to confirm a test driver for 2008 following the departure of Timo Glock for Toyota.
