This week’s Formula One test in Spain is to be extended by a day. Teams will continue running at Valencia on Friday in a bid to make up for time lost to poor weather earlier in the week.

Renault, Ferrari and BMW Sauber have already confirmed they will be making use of the extra day and the majority of the other teams present are expected to follow suit.

Spain is again the venue for next week’s testing. The Jerez circuit will play host to the bulk of the teams for a three-day session commencing on Tuesday.
