Rosberg debuts Williams FW29 in Spain
|
Following its official launch last week, Williams 2007 machine made its first track appearance at Jerez on Tuesday. Nico Rosberg was the man at the wheel of the FW29 as it ventured on to the Spanish circuit.
Williams have been using an interim version of last years FW28 for their winter testing to date, but this weeks session will feature two FW29 chassis, as the Toyota-powered team continue their build-up to the 2007 season. They are one of at least eight teams expected to participate in the three-day test, which continues until Thursday.
Other runners of note at Jerez include Ricardo Zonta, making his first appearance in his new role as Renault test driver, and American Marco Andretti, who will be getting a second Formula One outing with Honda following his successful debut test with the team last year.
