Following its official launch on Tuesday, Toro Rosso’s 2007 machine made its first track appearance at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya on Wednesday. Newly-confirmed race driver Vitantonio Liuzzi was the man at the wheel of the STR2 as it ventured on to the Spanish circuit.

The maiden outing had been scheduled to take place on Monday but a red flag, caused by another car stopping out on track, curtailed running late in the day and prevented the STR2 from making its last-minute debut.
