Kangaroo TV team up with McLaren 08 May 2007
Kangaroo TV are already bringing their innovative handheld television sets to Formula One spectators at all 2007 races. Now they have agreed to supply the McLaren team with their own bespoke units.
McLaren believe the multi-year deal will help them raise the bar in terms of delivering the best race coverage to their guests at Grands Prix. The teams modified handsets will provide specially-tailored content, in addition to live video, audio and data on their drivers, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton.
The state-of-the-art TV devices allow our guests to be flexible and independent, and get even closer to our team, cars and drivers than ever before, said McLaren team principal Ron Dennis. The bespoke Kangaroo TV devices will enhance the race experience for our guests. They will be tailored to monitor and highlight the data available for Fernando and Lewis, so that our VIP guests capture everything out on the circuit and better understand how it affects our race and our strategy.
The regular Kangaroo TV sets are available for fans to hire at all 2007 races. They provide access to the main Formula One international race broadcast, plus in-car cameras, team radio, including driver-to-pit conversations, live commentary and radio when available, race timekeeping, leader board and real-time statistics, news and information, and biographic files on teams and drivers.
