Second Toro Rosso test for Bourdais
|
Following his debut with the team last December, Sebastien Bourdais will get another chance to drive for Toro Rosso during this weeks test at Paul Ricard. The move is certain to heighten speculation that Bourdais could race for the Red Bull-owned squad in 2008.
Three-time Champ Car champion Bourdais, who will get behind the wheel of the STR2 on Wednesday in France, is also scheduled to participate in Toro Rossos July test at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. Nevertheless, the Frenchman played down rumours of a possible race contract.
There is nothing done, he told his official website. I am just very grateful to Toro Rosso for giving me the opportunity to show what I can do in a F1. It is an exciting opportunity, and I will give 100 percent.
According to his website, once the Spa test is complete, Toro Rosso will have to make a decision on their relationship with Bourdais.
