Webber reprimanded over Speed clash 09 Jun 2007
Red Bull’s Mark Webber has been reprimanded by the Canadian Grand Prix stewards following his collision with Toro Rosso’s Scott Speed at the end of Friday afternoon’s practice session.
Speed ran into the back of Webber’s car at Turn Eight after the Australian appeared to slow unexpectedly. Webber had passed Speed immediately before the incident, for which both drivers blamed each other.
After reviewing video of the crash and speaking to both men and their respective teams, the stewards decided no further action was necessary. However, Webber was reprimanded regarding his actions as he entered the corner.
