Sunday weather update - 60 percent chance of rain 01 Jul 2007
Welcome to race day for the eighth round of the 2007 FIA Formula One World Championship, the French Grand Prix at the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours.
The big question is whether it will rain in the race. The forecast says there is a 60 percent chance of that despite an ambient temperature high of 22 degrees Celsius. It is markedly more overcast than yesterday and there have been a few spots already. As Kimi Raikkonen observed yesterday, “If it does rain in the race, it will just complicate things for everyone.”
The race will run over 70 laps of the 4.411 kilometre (2.741 mile) circuit, and will start at 1400 hours local time, which is two hours ahead of GMT.
