Fuji Speedway to host UNICEF charity auction 02 Aug 2007
To celebrate hosting its first Japanese Grand Prix since 1977, the Fuji International Speedway plans to hold a charity event in aid of UNICEF. An internet auction will get underway after the race, which will take place at the track on September 30.
On offer will be items donated by several Formula One teams including race suits and gloves. Bids can be posted by any interested parties from the Monday after the event. All money raised will be donated to UNICEF, the United Nations charity dedicated to improving the lives of the worlds disadvantaged children.
The Japanese circuit also plans to host a charity pit walk on the Thursday before the race to raise further funds.
