Felipe Massa has revealed that former Ferrari team mate Michael Schumacher will join him in Brazil to compete at this year's International Challenge of Go-Kart Champs. The annual event, which sees top international drivers compete against each other, will take place at the Ingeles kart track in Florianopolis from November 24-25.

“During the European Grand Prix, in Nurburgring, he told me I could count on him,” explained Massa. “It will be such a pleasure to receive him in Brazil, especially for the race. We like each other, and his presence represents the importance, seriousness and professionalism of the event. The stakes will be even higher on the driver’s side, but that is the idea. Since its birth, the International Challenge of Go-Kart Champs proposal has been to bring the best drivers.”

The event will be the first time Massa and Schumacher have raced together since last season’s Brazilian Grand Prix, which marked Schumacher's last Formula One race as a driver. Other Formula One stars expected to attend include Ferrari tester Luca Badoer, Honda’s Rubens Barrichello, Renault tester Nelson Piquet Jr and Toro Rosso’s Vitantonio Liuzzi.
