Honda’s former aerodynamics chief Mariano Alperin-Bruvera is to join BMW Sauber, teaming up with former BAR colleague Willem Toet, the German-Swiss squad’s chief aerodynamicist.

Argentine Alperin-Bruvera resigned from his Honda position earlier this year following the Japanese team’s recruitment of former Williams chief aerodynamicist Loic Bigois.

Alperin-Bruvera joined Honda during the BAR era back in the late 1990s and was responsible for overseeing the aero development of the team’s current RA107 car.
