Bahrain announces new chief operating officer 12 Sep 2007

The Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has appointed Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa to the new role of chief operating officer. Shaikh Salman was formerly the director of PR and Governmental Affairs.

"Shaikh Salman has been a tremendous asset to everyone involved with the circuit and the events that take place here in his role as director of PR and governmental affairs,” said BIC Chairman, Talal Al Zain.

“His management skills have delivered enormous results in the last four years and really put Bahrain at the forefront of communication in Formula One and international motor sport.”

The new role, will see Shaikh Salman work together with the BIC's Chief Executive Officer Martin Whitaker and will focus on new business opportunities.
