Kubica hit by engine-change penalty 15 Sep 2007
BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica will drop ten places on the grid for Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix after an engine change following Saturday morning's final practice at Spa.
Kubica ground to halt early in the session after a puff of smoke came from the back of his F1.07. The Pole had completed just two laps and had not set a time.
Following examination of the engine, BMW decided to swap it, hence Kubica will be penalised with ten grid places added to his position in this afternoon's qualifying session.
