BMW Sauber in no rush to fill testing role 14 Jan 2008
With former reserve driver Timo Glock in action for Toyota in Jerez on Monday, BMW Sauber have declared they are to take their time in deciding on his replacement. Glock left his position with the squad in November last year after being offered a race drive with BMW's Japanese rivals.
In December BMW Sauber assessed two young drivers, Marko Asmer and Javier Villa, and at the launch of the teams 2008 challenger in Munich on Monday, BMW Motorsport director Mario Theissen revealed that Estonian Asmer, the reigning British Formula Three champion, will test again for the squad in Valencia, Spain this week.
Theissen, however, was quick to point out that the team have yet to finalise plans concerning their 2008 reserve driver and that a decision would not be made before the end of January.
