New Delhi, Johannesburg, Kiev and Lisbon have been a few of the far-flung stopovers for this season’s Renault Roadshow, and the French team has announced that their concluding 2008 event will be held on Sunday at the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo.

Renault’s recently confirmed 2009 driver, Nelson Piquet, will be in the driving seat, demonstrating an R27 in front of his home crowd around a specially-designed track at Ibirapuera Park.

"It's a great feeling for me to take part in this demonstration at home in Brazil!” said Piquet. “Formula One is a very popular sport in Brazil and my compatriots will have the opportunity to see and hear our car in this special event. I'm sure there will be an amazing atmosphere and I'm really looking forward to being there."

The 1.1-kilometre circuit will take in the Pedro Alvares Cabral Avenue, which will see the Renault run past the striking Das Bandeiras monument.
