Ferrari and Toyota’s three-day test in Bahrain drew to a close on Monday with Felipe Massa on top of the timesheets for the Italian team. Massa lapped the Sakhir circuit in 1m 31.189s to finish just ahead of the Toyota of Timo Glock.

The Brazilian was joined on track by team mate - and world champion - Kimi Raikkonen, who finished in third. The pair covered over 900 kilometres during the session as they completed their planned programmes.

It was a successful day for the Italian squad, without any of the technical issues which had hampered their progress on Sunday. Ferrari will next be in action in Spain on 20 February at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya.

Glock, meanwhile, was joined by team mate Jarno Trulli, who finished in fourth. The Toyota duo focused on mechanical and aerodynamic set-up work during the day, covering a total of over 150 laps.

“This has been another productive day of set-up work - a positive end to a positive test for us in Bahrain,” said Dieter Gass, Toyota’s chief engineer race and test. “We have learnt a lot about how the TF108 reacts to set-up changes and consequently we have made clear improvements in performance, so we can be pleased with our work.”

Toyota will also be back in action in Barcelona later this month.

Unofficial Monday times from Bahrain:
1. Felipe Massa, Ferrari, 1:31.189
2. Timo Glock, Toyota, 1:31.209
3. Kimi Raikkonen, Ferrari, 1:31.329
4. Jarno Trulli, Toyota, 1:31.689
