Ferrari begin final 2008 test at Mugello 18 Sep 2008
While the majority of their rivals were hard at work in Spain on Wednesday, Ferrari began their on-track preparations for next weekends Singapore Grand Prix a little closer to home at the Italian circuit of Mugello. It will be the teams final test of the 2008 season.
Official Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer was the man behind the wheel of the F2008 and his programme included set-up and development of aerodynamic solutions aimed at the final four races of the season. The Italian covered 66 laps of the 5.245-kilometre circuit, with a best time of 1m 21.010s.
Ferrari will continue testing at Mugello on Thursday, with Kimi Raikkonen taking over from Badoer. At the same time, team mate Felipe Massa will be in action at Fiorano, shaking down the cars that Ferrari will take to Singapore.
