Massa wraps up Ferrari's three-day Mugello test 19 Sep 2008
Ferraris test session at Italy's Mugello International Circuit came to an end on Friday. After Luca Badoer on Wednesday and Kimi Raikkonen on Thursday, it was Felipe Massa's turn to get behind the wheel of the F2008.
In a day affected by adverse weather conditions, the Brazilian driver worked on set-up for both a wet and a dry track. Massa completed a total of 98 laps, the quickest in a time of 1m 23.618s.
"This session has been very useful," he commented. "Kimi and Luca were able to run in the dry, while I encountered the wet and, given that there's a chance we could experience these conditions in the coming races, that is no bad thing. We have done a good job and feel ready for the forthcoming Singapore Grand Prix. The end of the championship will be very close and it will be vital not to make any mistakes anywhere."
Ferrari now head east for the inaugural Singapore race, the first round of the FIA Formula One World Championship to be staged at night.
