Engineering team reshuffle at Red Bull
Red Bull have announced they have rearranged their engineering team ahead of the 2009 season. The team hope the changes will fortify the link between their factory and race track activity.
Paul Monaghan, who for the past few years has attended Grands Prix as head of race and test engineering, will now be mainly factory based, as head of car engineering. His role will be to integrate the design, performance and reliability of the car into on-track performance.
Meanwhile, Ian Morgan, who was chief test engineer, now takes on the role of head of race engineering and will thus be in charge of all the teams trackside engineering operations at races and tests. Red Bull will launch their 2009 challenger, the RB5, at the Spanish circuit of Jerez on February 9.
