Raikkonen upbeat after second day at wet Mugello 20 Jan 2009
Kimi Raikkonen’s running in the F60 may have been limited by rain again, but the former world champion declared himself happy with Ferrari’s new car after spending a second day testing at Mugello on Tuesday. Raikkonen covered 42 laps of the Italian circuit and posted a best time of 1m 33.920s.
"It's always nice to drive a new car for the first time," said the Finn. "Unfortunately, because of the weather, we were not able to push to the limit, but these things happen. All the same, first impressions are positive and, above all, it's important that we didn't have any particular technical problems."
After carrying out as much development work as the weather allowed on Tuesday, Raikkonen will hand over the F60 to team mate Felipe Massa, who will continue to test at Mugello on Wednesday.
