Ferrari test ends on a high note at Mugello
After experiencing their fair share of disruptive weather at their private test at Mugello this week, Ferrari were finally gifted with dry conditions at the Italian track on Thursday.
Felipe Massa was in action for the team and covered 103 laps in the new F60, despite a brief hydraulic problem towards the end of the day. With a drier track at his disposal, Massa was able run an evaluation of Bridgestones slick tyres and set a best time of 1m 23.981s.
"Finally today, we were able to test the car in the dry continuously, he explained. First impressions are positive, even if it is obviously too early to say what level we are at. However, if I was asked to give a verdict on this test, I would score it a strong eight for reliability, given that we have covered over 1500 kilometres.
With their Mugello test now over, Ferrari will next be in action in Bahrain at the start of February, alongside Toyota and BMW Sauber.
