Badoer to get promotional run in F60 17 Aug 2009
Luca Badoer will get behind the wheel of Ferraris current car on Monday when he participates in the shooting of a promotional video for the Italian team. Badoer will stand in for the injured Felipe Massa at next weekends European Grand Prix.
Although in-season testing is banned under the current Formula One regulations, such promotional outings are allowed, with drivers limited to 100 kilometres of running on a special, ultra-hard tyre provided by Bridgestone.
Tomorrow and Tuesday Luca will be part of a video shooting for promotional purposes behind the F60s wheel at the Fiorano race track, confirmed Ferrari, who had hoped to substitute Michael Schumacher for Massa, before the German was ruled out by a neck injury sustained in a motorbike accident earlier this year.
Badoer, 38, has been an official Ferrari test driver for the last nine years. The Italian has made 48 Grand Prix starts and last raced for Minardi in 1999.
