New Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso has made his first official appearance in the Italian team’s famous red colours. Alonso, who has joined the squad from Renault for 2010, is taking part in their annual media gathering at the Madonna di Campiglio ski resort in northern Italy.

The two-time world champion arrived by helicopter on Monday, joining Felipe Massa and Giancarlo Fisichella for the event, which is dubbed ‘Wrooom’ and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Over the next few days, the Spaniard and his Ferrari team mates will hit the slopes, participating in several winter sports.

Although it’s clear he is already very much at home in his new team kit, Alonso will have to wait until next month to get his first taste of his new car for 2010, when the sport’s pre-season test programme gets underway in Spain.
