HRT and Kolles part ways for 2012 14 Dec 2011
HRT team principal Colin Kolles is to leave his post on Thursday after coming to an agreement with the Spanish squad to end their cooperation. The former Force India boss has been in charge since HRT joined the grid at the start of 2010.
This is due to the new direction that the team has taken and the decision of the new management to move the team headquarters to Spain, explained an official statement from HRT, who were based at Kolles factory in Germany.
HRT F1 Team would like to thank Dr Colin Kolles for his work and dedication throughout these past two years and wish him the best in his future projects.
HRT finished 11th in the 2011 constructors championship, but having moved to new ownership in July and secured a closer technical partnership with Williams for next season, they are targeting a move up the grid in 2012.
The team have made no official comment on Kolles' replacement.
