Yamamoto to DJ at F1 Rocks The Afterparty in Milan 24 Aug 2011

Formula One driver Sakon Yamamoto (JPN) displays his DJ skills Jamiroquai's Jay Kay

F1 Rocks™ The Afterparty will be returning to Milan during next month’s Formula 1 Gran Premio Santander d'Italia 2011 following its successful launch last year, with Virgin reserve driver Sakon Yamamoto among those due to take a turn behind the record decks.

Two exclusive events will take place in the city centre at the stunning Just Cavalli Cafe, outside under the famous Torre Branca Tower in Parco Sempione - one on Friday, September 9, following the F1 Rocks™ in Monza concert with headliner Jamiroquai, and the other on Sunday, September 11 after the Monza race.

Organisers say VIP guests can expect cameo DJ appearances from various F1 drivers, including Yamamoto. Last year drivers such as Bruno Senna and Adrian Sutil partied alongside The Stereophonics and Italian celebrities who were out in force to celebrate the last leg of the European season before the teams head off for the final flyaway races.

The additional festivities will enhance what already promises to be a fantastic weekend of entertainment on and off the track, with Jamiroquai headlining the F1 Rocks™ in Monza event at the Stadio Brianteo Monza.

Formed in 1992, the British jazz funk and acid jazz band has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, received 13 Brit Awards nominations and won a coveted Grammy Award in 1997.
