Force India confirm February 3 launch for 2012 car 18 Jan 2012
The car Force India hope will push them further up the constructors standings in 2012 will be launched on February 3 at Silverstone. The British track is within sight of the teams UK base.
Force India finished sixth in the 2011 championship, just four points shy of the fifth-placed Renault team. A slow start to the year was transformed after the summer break and drivers Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta scored points at most of the remaining rounds. Sutil has been replaced by former third driver Nico Hulkenberg for the 2012 season.
Ferrari will also launch their car on February 3 at their Italian base in Maranello, two days after McLarens February 1 launch in Woking, whilst Red Bull and Sauber have opted for February 6 unveilings. The first pre-season multi-team test then gets underway at the Spanish circuit of Jerez on February 7.
