2012 Toro Rosso to appear at first test 20 Jan 2012
Toro Rosso are expected to launch their 2012 car at the first pre-season test, which will get underway at the Spanish circuit of Jerez on February 7. The TR7 completed the FIA’s crash test programme on Wednesday.
“Having previously passed various static crash tests, today, our new car, the TR7, passed all remaining FIA crash tests,” said the team on their website. “These are compulsory for all cars that will compete in the Formula 1 World Championship and this year they were even more stringent, as the sport’s governing body continues to pursue safety as one of its main aims in the sport."
In 2012, the TR7 will be raced by Toro Rosso’s all-new line-up of Australia’s Daniel Ricciardo and France’s Jean-Eric Vergne.
