Gearbox penalty for Ricciardo 14 Oct 2012
Daniel Ricciardo is to drop five places on the grid for Sundays 2012 Formula 1 Korean Grand Prix thanks to a gearbox-change penalty ahead of the race.
Ricciardo came to a halt on track near the end of Q2 on Saturday with driveshaft problems, and the team were forced to open up the box to investigate the cause.
It means the Australian will now move back from 16th to 21st on the grid, with team mate Jean-Eric Vergne, Williams Bruno Senna, Caterhams Vitaly Petrov and Heikki Kovalainen and Marussias Timo Glock all moving up a place.
