Toro Rosso to test Razia and Cecotto Jr in Abu Dhabi 24 Oct 2012
Toro Rosso will run 2012 GP2 runner-up Luiz Razia and Venezuelan hopeful Johnny Cecotto Junior in next months young driver test at Abu Dhabis Yas Marina circuit.
Brazilian Razia, 23, will pilot the STR7 on Tuesday, November 6 and Thursday, November 8, with Cecotto, also 23, at the wheel on Wednesday, November 7.
Razias previous experience in a Formula One car consists of young driver tests for Virgin, Team Lotus and Force India in 2010, 2011 and 2012 respectively, as well as a Friday practice outing with Team Lotus at last years Chinese Grand Prix.
Cecotto, who shares his name with his father, a former racer and motorcycle world champion, has raced in GP2 since 2009. He finished ninth overall this year after a pole position and win in Monaco and another victory at Hockenheim. He drove for Force India in last years young driver test.
The other teams expected to test in Abu Dhabi are McLaren, Red Bull, Sauber, Lotus and Caterham. The remainder of the grid carried out their young driver sessions earlier in the year at Magny-Cours in France and Silverstone in the UK.
