Gutierrez to fill in for unwell Perez in Practice One 26 Oct 2012
Saubers reserve driver Esteban Gutierrez will take part in Friday's opening practice session for the Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International, in place of the unwell Sergio Perez. The team decided it was best to allow Perez more time to recover from his cold ahead of the rest of the race weekend.
Twenty one year-old Gutierrez became the Swiss teams reserve driver back in 2011 and has already tested for the team on four occasions. Its hoped that elder Mexican Perez will be sufficiently recovered to take over the car for this afternoons second session.
Other reserves in action during Practice One will be Giedo van der Garde, who is standing in for Heikki Kovalainen, and Williams tester Valtteri Bottas who will replace Bruno Senna.
