Silverstone issue travel advice after heavy rain 07 Jul 2012
After heavy rain caused serious traffic and car parking problems at Silverstone on Friday, race organisers for this weekend’s 2012 Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix have issued updated travel advice for fans planning to attend on Saturday.
In order to ensure that race day proceeds with minimal disruption, Silverstone are asking that those with normal parking tickets do not attend for qualifying on Saturday. Fans with pre-booked park-and-ride tickets, or those able to walk to the circuit from campsites, are not affected.
