Rosberg set for gearbox grid penalty 01 Sep 2012
Nico Rosberg is set to drop five places on the grid for Sundays 2012 Formula 1 Shell Belgian Grand Prix after Mercedes were forced to change his gearbox following final practice at Spa-Francorchamps.
Rosberg, currently sixth in the 2012 driver standings, stopped early in that session after he lost drive on his W03, forcing him to pull off the circuit, costing the German valuable track time after Fridays wash out.
Red Bulls Mark Webber already has an identical penalty after his gearbox failed to complete the required five consecutive Grands Prix.
