Sebastian Vettel could wrap up a fourth consecutive drivers’ title in New Delhi this weekend, with Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso now his only championship rival. Meanwhile, Red Bull can also secure their fourth successive constructors’ crown, with their only competition coming from Ferrari and Mercedes. Here are the main permutations…

Vettel will become 2013 champion on Sunday:
- If Alonso wins, with Vettel fifth or higher
- If Alonso finishes second, with Vettel eighth or higher
- If Alonso finishes in third or lower

Red Bull will become 2013 champions on Sunday:
- If they win the race
- If their leading car is second, with their other car eighth or higher
- If their leading car is second, with their other car ninth or lower, unless Ferrari finish first and third
- If their leading car is third, with their other car fourth or fifth
- If their leading car is third, with their other car sixth, seventh or eighth, unless Ferrari finish first and second
- If their leading car is third, with their other car ninth or tenth, unless Ferrari finish first and second or first and fourth
- If their leading car is third, with their other car not scoring, unless Ferrari finish first and second, first and fourth, or first and fifth

To stay in the title race heading to Abu Dhabi, assuming Red Bull fail to score in India, Mercedes would need their leading car to win, with their second car seventh or higher, or their leading car to finish second, with the second car fourth or higher.
