Bianchi, Rossiter to test for Force India this week 04 Feb 2013
Jules Bianchi and James Rossiter will drive for Force India at the first pre-season test of 2013 in Jerez this week, the team has confirmed. 23-year-old Bianchi was the teams reserve driver in 2012 and took part in nine Friday practice sessions.
Force India say that the Frenchman, who is believed to be in contention for the Silverstone-based squads second race seat, will assist Paul di Resta in providing the teams engineers with further feedback between last years car and the new VJM06.
Rossiter, 29, has previous Formula One testing experience with Honda and Super Aguri and will be given a run in the new car to help with his role driving the teams simulator.
Di Resta gave the VJM06 a brief shakedown following the cars launch at Silverstone last week and will be in the driving seat for the first day of testing on Tuesday. Rossiter will take over on Wednesday afternoon before handing the car back to the Scot on Thursday afternoon. Bianchis first run in the VJM06 will be on Friday.
