The Official 2013 F1™ Live Timing and Track Positioning App from Soft Pauer The Official 2013 F1 Live Timing and Track Positioning App from Soft Pauer - integrated Twitter feed

As the F1 fraternity readies itself ahead of the 2013 Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix this weekend, download the only official F1 Timing and Track Positioning App from Soft Pauer and enhance your race weekend experience, whether watching at track or at home.

Thanks to some ground-breaking additions alongside the great standard features, this year’s App is a must-have for fans wishing to get closer to the action. Available in both free and premium versions, this App is an essential for any Formula One aficionado.

New innovations for 2013 include the introduction of Twitter to the App. For the first time ever in a sports App, users can send and receive tweets relating to Formula One racing without leaving the application or being directed elsewhere.

The tyre information displayed in the App is more comprehensive than ever before with users able to clearly see what tyre compound any driver is on and how many laps they have done on any given set of tyres - invaluable if you want to try your hand at calculating who is coming in for a stop and who should be flying on fresh rubber.

Users of the free ‘Basic Pass’ App can enjoy a vast database of team and driver information, a race calendar and countdown, all the official F1 news live as it is issued and, of course, the new Twitter function. Those with a ‘Premium Pass’ will also benefit from all the Live Timing functions of the App, which include:

Page One Timing Screen - the most comprehensive timing screen available and the one the engineers rely on the most on the pit wall. Use this timing screen to see lap times for every lap in practice, every lap of every session to three decimal places in all sectors, any given driver’s current speed through all speed traps, and an on-going theoretical ‘perfect’ lap time based on an accumulation of the best sectors overall.

A fully interactive 3D map - pan in to follow your favourite driver or zoom out to see the whole field. Focus on any given corner, twist and turn the map to see the best views. Plus, all key marshal and race control messages and DRS activation points are also highlighted as they happen.

Comprehensive tyre data - showing new and old tyre choices and how many laps on each driver’s tyres. See all the tyre data in a separate screen, with the age of the tyres also shown on the map.

Faster timing feeds - loop by loop intervals updated every 2 to 5 seconds.

Download the very best companion to the 2013 FIA Formula One World Championship now by going to Formula1.com’s Mobile Services section or via the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Blackberry World or Amazon Appstore and start looking forward to a whole new season of nail-biting action.
