As the most experienced driver on the grid, McLaren’s Jenson Button has crossed the finishing line more than most. Therefore we concluded that the 33-year-old former-world champion would be the perfect candidate to tackle our special ‘Finishing Line’ questionnaire; a set of questions specially designed to help you get to know the world’s greatest drivers a little better…

The sportsperson I most admire is…
Jenson Button:
There's a few at the moment, especially following what Team GB achieved at the Olympics in 2012. Chrissie Wellington, the British triathlete, is someone I've always greatly admired throughout her career.

The best actor in the world is…
JB:
Again, there's too many! There are some actors that when you see they're in a film, you're confident it's going to be good - Denzel Washington is one of those.

The most memorable overtaking move of my career was…
JB:
Overtaking is always a good feeling. A couple that have been mentioned recently aren't necessarily the best moves, but were great moments - going past Sebastian (Vettel) on the last lap at Montreal in 2011 to win the race is one, and overtaking Michael Schumacher at my first ever British Grand Prix is another. There were also some special moves in Brazil, in 2009, when I won the world title having started 15th on the grid but finishing fifth to secure the points I needed.

The funniest person I know is…
JB:
James Williamson who is part of ‘Team Button’. If he wasn't busy being an amazing sports agent then he would have his own TV show - he's hilarious.

My favourite song of all time is…
JB:
Again there are too many - these are tough questions! I’ve been listening to a lot of Red Hot Chili Peppers recently - their album Blood Sugar Sex Magic is incredible and timeless.

The best thing about the off-season is…
JB:
Spending time with my friends and family.

The last time I lost my temper was…
JB:
I get angry like anyone, but as the years go on I've become pretty good at channelling it and moving on. Screaming and shouting doesn't help anyone.

My first pet was…
JB:
A boxer dog called Jodie.

The last photo I took was of…
JB:
A toy donkey dressed in my race suit.

The last time I overslept was…
JB:
Last Tuesday. That was the first time in about seven years.

The greatest feeling in the world is…
JB:
Winning a world title.

My most treasured possession is …
JB:
My world championship trophy.

My favourite drink is…
JB:
Coconut water when I’m being good, a nice cold beer if I'm having a treat.

You would never catch me wearing…
JB:
A women's wetsuit… again.
(Button was recently forced to pull out of a triathlon mid-swim when the wetsuit he had borrowed from girlfriend Jessica Michibata, after forgetting his own, became too uncomfortable.)

My favourite holiday destination is…
JB:
Hawaii - it’s the perfect place to train and relax.

My favourite time of the day is…
JB:
Now!

The strangest rumour I’ve ever read about myself was…
JB:
That I had been in a serious car crash when I was actually in bed…

The best present I’ve been given by a fan is…
JB:
They're all equally special.
