BMW Sauber F1.07 - rear wing, engine cover fin 01 July 2007
Another team to introduce a revised rear wing for France, BMW Sauber's features a main profile that is completely flat across its entire width (left arrow). Its aim is to provide a good level of downforce without losing too much top speed on the straights. It works in conjuction with the modified engine cover (debuted a couple of races back), with its pronounced fin (right arrow) helping to direct a clean airflow to the rear wing, maximising the efficiency of the wing's main profile and flap.
