Red Bull RB8 - old-style exhaust set-up 14 April 2012
Whilst Mark Webber chose to run the current version of the Red Bull's exhaust in China, team mate Sebastian Vettel elected to use this older version, which featured on the RB8 at launch. The hot air on this version blows on to the central section of the beam wing. Vettel preferred this solution as he believed it would give him a more stable car when entering turns, yet the car continued to suffer from a lot of oversteer when running on the soft tyres.
