Red Bull RB8 - exhaust changes 21 April 2012

The Red Bull is becoming more and more like the Sauber in this area. On Saturday in Bahrain both RB8s were without the innovative inlet in the lower section of the bodywork (highlighted) that channels exiting exhaust gases together with the hot air coming from the sidepods. Now this section of the sidepod is cleaner. Vettel abandoned the old exhaust layout that he had stuck with in China, but even so, until qualifying the team's two drivers still had different exhausts. Webber kept the one he had in Shangai and Malaysia, while Vettel used the Melbourne layout (inset). Just before qualifying, however, Vettel went down the same route as Webber.
