Mercedes F1 W03 - front-wing comparison 28 July 2012

This drawing shows both Mercedes' old front wing (see left-hand side) and the team's new front wing solution (see right-hand side). To the side of the neutral central section, which is compulsory for all teams, the large rounded step (1) has been removed. This means that the height of the main plane relative to the ground is different. The new flap (3) is also more rounded, the small fin (4) on the inside of the double endplates has been removed and the system to adjust the flap angle is different. There are also new turning vanes under the chassis itself.
