A further season of GP2 brings much greater success – second in the championship with four wins and nine podiums overall. Drives for Toro Rosso and Force India in young driver test sessions.

In his third season in GP2, finishes 12th in the championship with three podiums and one pole position. Also makes F1 bow with Friday practice runs at the Chinese and Brazilian Grands Prix with Team Lotus and further test appearances for the team.

Stays in GP2 with the Rapax team, finishing 11th in the points with three podium finishes. Also takes part in three British F3 races and has his first Formula One test with Virgin.

Competes in the GP2 Series, scoring one win en route to 19th in the final standings.

Stays in Euro 3000 and Formula 3000 Italy and finishes fourth in both series with three wins. In the winter of 2008/2009 competes in GP2 Asia with Arden, scoring a solitary win.

Stays in South American Formula Three and wins the championship in style, scoring seven wins. Also competes in F3000 International Masters (winning three races) and tests a GP2 car.
