The latest version in Hungary sports two changes. Firstly, the boards now feature a generous vertical fin (1) on the edge of the horizontal upper profile at the front. This provides a channel for the airflow coming from underneath the front wing. Secondly, a small horizontal lip (2) has been applied to the slightly elongated rear portion of the board. The lip helps detach the boundary layer of the airflow that could otherwise create vortices - and turbulence - in this crucial area in front of the main barge boards, reducing their efficency.
