Ferrari F138 - pull-rod front suspension 25 November 2013
Ferrari brought pull-rod front suspension back to Formula One racing in 2012 after an 11-year absence and retained it for 2013. Given its performance benefits, that decision was not surprising. More so was keeping the rather impractical solution of mechanics having to change the torsion bars from underneath the chassis. Adding to the inconvenience, the turning vanes attached to the bottom of the chassis have to be removed beforehand. This contrasts with the far more 'user-friendly' configuration of McLaren's pull-rod front suspension.
