McLaren MP4-27 - front wing comparison 21 April 2012
McLaren's Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button have been using different front wings in Bahrain. Button has opted to run the new one, introduced in Shanghai, which features different upper flaps and no gills in the middle of the endplate (see inset). Hamilton, meanwhile, has chosen to use the old one (see main image) for a different level of aero balance. The duo also selected different brake materials and ducts. Button is using Brembo discs and open drum ducts, whilst Hamilton is using discs from Carbon Industries and full drums with just a few openings.
