McLaren MP4-27 - revised sidepods and brake ducts 28 July 2012
In this drawing you can see just how low the McLaren's new sidepods, which were introduced in Hockenheim last weekend, are positioned. The British team have also brought new rear brake ducts to Hungary. The holes in the revised ducts can be adjusted, which allows the team to influence the temperature of the car's tyres. At the front they are using asymmetric ducts to help the front tyres reach their optimum temperatures.
