Pirelli have revealed the tyre allocations for this year’s Formula 1 Magyar Nagydij 2016 in Budapest, with Ferrari choosing what looks to be an aggressive strategy by taking more supersoft tyres than rivals Mercedes and Red Bull.
The Italian team will have nine sets of supersofts at their disposal at the Hungaroring, one more set than Mercedes and two more sets than Red Bull.
With each of the top three teams in this year’s constructors’ standings only opting for one set of the hardest tyre available - the medium - that leaves Ferrari with just three sets of softs to Mercedes’ four and Red Bull’s five.
Force India’s Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg and Haas' Esteban Gutierrez are the only drivers to have picked two sets of the medium compound.
