Ferrari announced on Tuesday that they have extended their contract with Felipe Massa until the end of the 2010 season. Massa, who is currently preparing for his home Grand Prix which will be held in Sao Paulo this weekend, has been contracted to the Italian squad since 2001.
The Brazilian replaced Rubens Barrichello as a Ferrari race driver for the 2006 season, partnering Michael Schumacher in the Germans last Formula One season. To date, he has taken part in 34 Grands Prix for the team, winning five times and scoring 16 podium places.
Massas team mate Kimi Raikkonen joined the team this season on a three-year contract, covering 2007, 2008 and 2009.
