Australian Grand Prix Preparations, Rd 1, Albert Park, Australia, 3 March 2004

Welcome to the first official day of practice for the 2004 FIA Formula One World Championship here in Melbourne's Albert Park.

Once again it is partly cloudy and there's a bit of a southerly wind, but the temperature is currently around 17C and will likely rise to 25C as the day goes on.

It will remain partly cloudy for the weekend, and now the chance of rain has increased, to 70 percent tomorrow rather than today, when isolated thunderstorms are expected in the far reaches of Melbourne. There is a 10 percent chance of rain on Sunday, but locals dismiss that and expect it to be cloudy, windy but warm.
