Australian band-of-the-moment, Wolfmother, are to perform a special concert in Melbourne’s Albert Park at next month’s Australian Grand Prix meeting. The Saturday performance will be free to all general admission ticket holders.

With New Zealand rockers Evermore already announced to play on race day, Wolfmother join a growing entertainment line-up for the Grand Prix weekend, which organisers hope will be the most exciting in the Melbourne event’s 11-year history.

“We’re thrilled to have secured two of the hottest bands around right now in Wolfmother and Evermore and know that their performance will enhance what is already the nation’s premier sporting event,” said Tim Bamford, CEO of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

“Our team has been working hard to make sure that this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever before. We want people to come to this year’s Grand Prix and leave with memories that will last them a lifetime.”

The 2007 Australian Grand Prix takes place on March 16-18. For further details of the entertainment bill for the Melbourne weekend, see:
