Weather update - warm and cloudy in Melbourne

Welcome to the real start of the 2007 FIA Formula One World Championship, race day at the Australian Grand Prix.

The general forecast is for a warm and partially cloudy day with an ambient temperature of 23 degrees Celsius, pretty much perfect conditions for racing.

The 5.303 kilometre (3.295 mile) circuit in Albert Park remains unchanged since Jenson Button planted his Honda on pole last year in 1m 25.229s and Fernando Alonso won for Renault.

The race will run over 58 laps or 307.574 kilometres (191.1 miles) and will start at 1400 hours local time, which is 0300 GMT.
